I want to welcome you and use this blog space to share more about my therapy approach, and to provide you with answers to your questions about common injuries, training methods, and the latest fitness trends. I will also share updates and analysis of the latest Physical Therapy, and sports-science research. To start off with, I would like to tell you a little more about myself, and what I love about Physical Therapy.

I have been practicing Physical Therapy for over 11 years. I earned my Physical Therapy degree and started my career in my hometown of London, England. But then I married a Southern girl who also happens to be an aerospace engineer, so we headed for Rocket City, USA! I’ve enjoyed practicing PT for the last 5+ years in Huntsville and Madison, as a therapist at TOC. I’ve always enjoyed working with athletes of all ages and levels, from adolescents all the way up to elite college and professional athletes. However, I have also noticed a growing number of recreational injuries that might have been prevented with a Physical Therapy assessment and a therapeutic exercise program. Tools such as video running assessment can be combined with a PT’s knowledge of biomechanics to craft a therapy/training program tailored to an individual athlete’s needs, so you can avoid injury, if not improve your performance!

Video Running Analysis - Physical Therapy assessment

Get your running assessment, reduce your injury risk, and improve your performance.

My passion is to help people overcome their injuries and to give them the skills they need to become stronger that ever. I decided it was time for me to step out on my on to offer a new type of therapy practice and service to the Huntsville/Madison community, with injury prevention as a major foundation. Injuries will always occur, and when they do, we will be there to get you back on your feet as quickly as possible. But we want to help you prevent those injuries that can be avoided! Video running assessment is one tool I am excited to be able to offer to this end. Running is such a quick motion that it needs to be viewed in slow motion to be truly understood and improved. When combined with a thorough physical exam, a Physical Therapist can identify the underlying causes of pain or inefficient technique, such as weak core muscles or flexibility asymmetry. This allows us to correct problems before they develop into a serious injury or chronic pain problem. Call us today to schedule an appointment and find out how we can help you get and stay at the top of your game!
